Hyattsville’s Coming of Age

The new parking meters along Route 1 in the Arts District area are a sign that Hyattsville is coming of age.

It’s true. The proposed parking garage on Hamiliton Street in Hyattsville, complaints about lack of parking at Busboys and Poets, and now the new parking meters along Route 1 are a sign that the city’s downtown core is becoming popular.

And what’s better than D.C.’s pay-by-phone parking meter system? Hyattsville’s new meters, which can simply be paid by swiping your Visa or Mastercard.
