Designers Angela S. Justice and Erica Riggio are bringing their design expertise to Hyattsville.

Justice, of Space 26 Designs, and Riggio, of Riggio Design, plan to move into a space on Gallatin Street by Nov. 1.

“We are planning to open our design studio with a small retail component of custom home finds and accessories,” said Justice.

The duo previewed furniture that expressed their design aesthetic at the Hyattsville Arts Festival back in September.

“In addition to the retail component, we are also a full service design firm that specializes in boutique commercial design and select residential design,” added Justice.

Justice and Riggio are currently working with the Ivy Lounge Salon and Spa.

General Manager Berhane Tebebe said that Justice and Riggio “just came in and gave us some really innovative ideas.”

The unisex salon wanted a “serene, calm and earthy” vibe, and Tebebe said that the pair knew “exactly what we were going for … and delivered.”

The Ivy Lounge Salon and Spa plans to open on Baltimore Avenue near East West Highway on Dec. 1.

Beyond the salon, Justice and Riggio are working on projects with Shortcake Bakery and residential clients.

So glad to see this on the Wire! I know plenty of Gateway artists have missed Erica’s studio and gallery from Design Studio Art Gallery and at artdc Gallery. Congrats Erica and Angela!
