Didn’t get an invitation to the royal wedding? has you covered.

The Hyattsville bakery, located on Route 1 just south of downtown, is offering a lemon elderflower cake through the end of the month. We caught up with owner and head baker, Cheryl Harrington, to learn more.

Created by London’s Violet Cakes for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, the  lemon elderflower cake consists of “tiers of lemon sponge cake drizzled with elderflower syrup and topped with an Amalfi lemon curd.”

Shortcake Bakery typically changes up its menu with a different offering each month.

If elderflower isn’t your thing, the bakery also offers another “quintessentially British” pastry: . Or, for something completely different, check out their spicy Jamaican beef patties, once named to the Washingtonian‘s fabled “Cheap Eats” list.

And if you’re planning a regal wedding of your own, Shortcake Bakery to help come up with an individualized cake “representative of your favorite colors, hobbies and the like.”
