Miller’s Ale House to Open in March at PG Mall

Miller’s Ale House recently announced it is slated to open its new location at the Mall at Prince Georges this March in front of Five Below and TJ Maxx, adding to the growing dining scene in Hyattsville.

The Florida-based chain, which is centered on beer, chicken wings and televised sports, joins a roster of new dining options at the mall that have opened in the last few years including Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, Five Guys, &pizza and Chipotle.

The eatery’s menu features everything from boneless chicken Zingers with sauces like sweet Thai chili and a spicy Mount St. Helens to steaks and hearty pasta dishes, and it’s a popular spot to watch Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views.

There’s also an extensive drink menu with cocktails like a watermelon margarita, an extensive wine menu and more than 75 varieties of craft and seasonal beers.

Two other chain restaurants — Olive Garden and Outback Steakhouse — are similarly located on spots in the mall’s parking lot near the planned location for Miller’s Ale House.

The city council pressed developers to make the exterior of the 8,285-square-foot restaurant, to be located at 3430 East-West Highway, more pedestrian-friendly, though overall it remains fairly car-centric.

The Hyattsville Wire spoke with one of the general contractors on site this week who said they would be moving quickly and are planning for a March opening.

As noted by the Washington Business Journal, the real estate trust that owns the mall recently reported that it’s making $45 more per square foot there than it did the year before, thanks in part to new dining options.

This will be Miller’s Ale House third location in Maryland with the others being in Bel Air and Rockville.

Miller’s Ale House is now hiring. More info can be found on its careers page.
