Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. was named the best-reviewed craft brewery in Maryland according to the review site Yelp.

To celebrate American Craft Beer Week, Yelp looked at its own data to find the top craft breweries in each state.

With 47 reviews, Streetcar 82 has a five-star rating on Yelp, with comments like “Streetcar offers great beer and a sense of community,” “very friendly staff and a laid back, community feel,” and “every time I’m there with my family we make new friends.”

Co-owner Mark Burke told the Hyattsville Wire that’s by design.

“We look forward to continuing to be a part of the community!” he said.

Streetcar hosts meetups for local interest groups on puzzles, board games and bicycling; brings in a variety of food trucks like Big D’s Wings on Thursdays, Seafood Boss on Fridays and Tacos La Michoacána on Saturdays; and puts on special events like a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. With plenty of outdoor seating, it’s also dog-friendly.

Since opening in 2018, the brewery has also collaborated with other locally owned businesses like Vigilante Coffee, Pizzeria Paradiso, Sangfroid Distilling, Arrow Bicycle and 2Fifty Texas BBQ. Cocineros also holds pop-ups at Streetcar 82 at times.

Its latest collaboration is a honey lager with Hope Honey Farm, which will do a honey harvest demonstration at 3 p.m. on Monday.
