Several businesses including many restaurants on the Route 1 corridor are looking to ring in the new year with you. Apart from the usual orders for delivery and pickup, a number of local establishments are offering New Year’s menus and/or special hours.

Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville: The annual New Year’s Day Pajama Brunch, Jan. 1, will feature poets performing virtually from noon to 2 p.m. You can watch in-person or online.
Denizens Brewing Co. in Riverdale Park: Orders placed by 11 a.m. Thursday will be delivered on the same day, and the taproom will be open until 8 p.m. for pickup. They will be closed on New Year’s Day.
Franklins Restaurant in Hyattsville: Open New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., holding the same hours on New Year’s Day, with all-day delivery to Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and University Park, of beer, wine, cocktails and its full menu on both days. Brunch will be available Friday, Jan. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pennyroyal Station in Mount Rainier: The deadline has passed for a special to-go menu for two on New Year’s Eve, but they will also be open for brunch on New Year’s Day, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for takeout or delivery. Patio seating will also be available.
Pizzeria Paradiso in Hyattsville: Three New Year’s Eve specials: pizzas, pizza kits or three-course meals which come with a choice of beer or Prosecco. They’ll be holding normal hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Sangfroid Distilling in Hyattsville: Making deliveries on New Year’s Eve. Try the new pear brandy as an addition to your sparkling wine or its chocolate liqueur, made using Vigilante’s Natty Cheffe beans, with some dessert.
Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. in Hyattsville: Open noon to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, noon to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Taqueria Habanero in College Park: Offering New Year’s dinner specials serving four six, or more. Call 240-241-4486 to place an order for pickup Dec. 31
2Fifty Texas BBQ: New Year’s specials are sold out, but the menu on Friday will include barbecue bowls and sandwiches, brisket tacos, pulled pork nachos and barbecue sandwiches along with the regular menu. Open 12:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
The Hall CP in College Park: Open New Year’s Eve from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the same hours on New Year’s Day for both takeout and outdoor dining with patio space heaters. Get a free bottle of any of the Hall’s wine (both champagne and Prosecco included) with any takeout order of $100 or more.
Town Center Market in Riverdale Park: Open 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
