Meet the Winners of the 2020 Best of Route 1

The results are in the for the Hyattsville Wire’s fourth annual Best of Route 1 reader poll.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s categories were modified to reflect the different ways we’ve adapted to and experienced life on the Route 1 corridor.

Best local website for online shopping? Three Little Birds. Best innovation due to the pandemic? OpenBarre online classes. Best place to take the kids while socially distancing? Riversdale House Museum. Restaurant with the best curbside pickup? Franklins.

The best charity or nonprofit responding to the pandemic? Feed Route One, which started out as Greater Riverdale Cares and Route One Communities Care. (And if you want to help out, their GoFundMe page is right here.)

There was also fierce competition in categories like best woman-owned business, best piece of public art and best halal restaurant.

Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to all the winners and notable mentions!
