Hyattsville was featured earlier this week in a new episode of WETA’s “If You Lived Here.”

The locally produced public TV show features hosts Christine Louise and John Begeny touring homes for sale in a particular city or neighborhood in the greater D.C. area, in the vein of an HGTV home-buying show.

In the half-hour-long episode on Hyattsville, which aired Monday, May 3, on WETA PBS, real estate agent Juan Umanzor showed them around a 1943 brick home in West Hyattsville, an end unit in the Arts District, and a new home on Powhatan Road.

The episode highlights the area’s growing restaurant scene, with stops at Vigilante Coffee, and Franklins, and includes interviews with Green Owl Design’s Erica Riggio and Wills Decorating’s Michael Richards.

It also discusses the area’s diversity and the history of the railroad, streetcars and Route 1.
